SterilSource is available in three configurations, offering scalable water treatment solutions from basic mineral and contaminant removal to full compliance with AAMI/ANSI ST108 water quality standards:

• Reverse Osmosis (RO:): Carbon and anti-scalant filters combined with dual, high-capacity reverse osmosis (RO) membranes remove dissolved minerals and contaminants, protecting steam generators and sterilizers from scale buildup.
• RO/DI: Adds deionization (DI) polishing filters after the RO stage, resulting in higher-purity water for demanding sterilization applications, to meet the water quality needs of stainless steel generators.
• RO/DI + ST-108: Consolidated’s most complete water treatment solution adds a bacteria and endotoxin filter and recirculation pump to prevent stagnant water and maintain compliant water quality at all times.

The advanced recirculation feature of the RO/DI + ST-108 configuration keeps water continuously in motion, passing through the final microbiological filter and wall-mounted reservoir. This mitigates potential health risks and protects the equipment from issues caused by water stagnation and its associated bacteria and biofilm growth. The 15-gallon sanitary storage tank further supports system integrity with an internal spray ball, air vent to block outside contaminants, and a float sensor that signals the controller to replenish the reservoir with fresh water as needed.

SterilSource is Consolidated’s first compact water purification system engineered to meet the demands of healthcare environments. Compared to conventional RO systems, SterilSource delivers up to four times the water output through parallel filtration, ensuring consistent water availability even during continuous sterilization cycles while meeting AAMI/ANSI ST108 water quality standards.

The entire system (including a 15-gallon sanitary storage tank, dual RO membranes, filters, and controls) mounts directly to the wall for a reduced footprint that’s ideal for crowded sterile processing areas.
