SterilSource Premium Water Purification Systems SterilSource is a compact wall-mounted water purification system that improves your sterilizer’s performance and uptime by removing minerals and microorganisms that wear down your steam generator and sterilizer over time. SterilSource ships in three configurations, from basic mineral and contaminant removal to full compliance with AAMI/ANSI ST108 water quality standards. Parallel filtration through dual RO membranes delivers up to four times the water output of conventional RO systems to keep sterile processing areas supplied during continuous cycles. SterilSource Benefits Reduces unplanned downtime by lowering the risk of scale and corrosion that cause service interruptions Extends equipment life by removing minerals that collect on generator components such as heating elements and valves to carry over to the sterilize Maintains compliant water quality through onboard monitoring alerts Fits where space is tight with intuitive wall-mounted assembly Simple to install and maintain, with straightforward setup and no large storage tanks. Get water when you need it with parallel filtration that delivers up to 4x more water on demand. Clean system design with advanced recirculation that prevents stagnation and supports consistent water quality. SterilSource Features Compact and fully wall-mountable for a small installation profile, built on a marine-grade HDPE backing board with integrated mounting brackets. Three configurations cover the water quality range, from carbon steel generator protection to healthcare sterile processing under ST108. High-capacity dual RO membranes, that produce 1 GPM of water on demand, are standard with built-in carbon and anti-scalant pre-filtration that produce Onboard conductivity meter with alarm comes standard, keeping your facility on schedule and taking the guesswork out of filter replacement. A 15-gallon sanitary tank, feedwater pump, and motorized inlet ball valve are included in all SterilSource systems. Reservoir with internal spray ball and air vent to prevent contaminants from entering the system and float switch that automatically triggers tank re-fill with fresh water. Why Purify Your Water? Untreated water carries minerals and microorganisms that wear down your steam generator and sterilizer over time. That wear leads to service calls and downtime. Why does this happen? Many autoclaves use an electric steam generator to create the required steam. When the steam is created, salts and minerals from the feedwater are left behind. If hard tap water is used to generate the steam, these mineral deposits will accumulate and coat the generator heating elements over time, continually decreasing the functionality of the generator until it stops working. Poor water quality also accelerates degradation of your sterilizer vessel and can carry over into solenoid valves, check valves, steam regulators, and other critical mechanical components within the system., SterilSource captures those contaminants upstream of the generator, which maintains uptime and protects the capital investment in your autoclave. See Why Water Quality Matters The Importance of ST108 Beyond improving steam generator and sterilizer longevity, SterilSource is designed to help healthcare facilities meet the requirements of AAMI/ANSI ST108. Stagnant water creates the perfect conditions for bacteria to multiply and form biofilm. These contaminants settle, which can lead to potential health risks and equipment issues. SterilSource’s advanced recirculation feature keeps water in motion, continuously passing it through a microbiological filter and wall-mounted reservoir. Not only does this help healthcare facilities comply with ST108’s water quality requirement, but it also reduces the risk of carryover onto surgical instruments and ensures feedwater quality does not adversely affect patient safety. Explore ST108 Requirements Consolidated’s first water purification system engineered for high-throughput healthcare environments. SterilSource was designed to meet the throughput and compliance demands of hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, and sterile processing departments, with support for AAMI/ANSI ST108 water quality requirements. Life science customers with limited space can benefit from the compact footprint, expanded capacity, and onboard water quality monitoring.
