Consolidated Earns ACT Label, Highlighting Commitment to Sustainability Written by: CSS Marketing Team Have you ever wished that you could review an autoclave’s energy and water use, manufacturing impact, and packaging content similar to how you’d read a nutrition label at the grocery store? That’s the idea behind the ACT Environmental Impact Factor (EIF) label. Short for Accountability, Consistency, and Transparency, the ACT label demonstrates the environmental impact of laboratory products so that facilities can make informed purchasing decisions and work toward their sustainability goals. We’re proud to announce that Consolidated Sterilizer Systems is one of the first major autoclave manufacturers to earn this label for all of our top-selling models. To receive the ACT label, My Green Labs evaluated Consolidated’s EIF based on the following criteria: Manufacturing impact Renewable energy use Responsible chemical management Shipping impact Product content Packaging content This involved rigorous testing of our autoclaves’ performance and energy and water consumption and a thorough review of the materials we use, our manufacturing process, and our waste disposal process. We also verified the performance of our standard sustainability features, including our WaterEco system, EcoCalander, and Auto Idle Shut-Off. “The ACT label is proof of our commitment to continuously improving the sustainability of our products and our manufacturing process,” said Bill Warren, president and CEO of Consolidated Sterilizer Systems. “We were one of first autoclave manufacturers to make water and energy-saving features standard in our products, at no extra cost to our customers. Earning the ACT label is another milestone, as we’re publishing independently verified data to help our customers evaluate product sustainability as part of their purchasing criteria.” About Consolidated Sterilizer Systems Consolidated Sterilizer Systems has manufactured steam sterilizers in the USA since 1946.
